5 Tips to Organise Your Life

So, you need to organise your life? Wow, that's a huge job! Where are you going to start?

Okay, yes we know. You have no idea. Other than knowing that things are challenging, in that you run late for appointments, miss events and can't keep on top of your to-do-list, you really have no idea where to start.

That's perfectly okay and perfectly normal, so don't stress about it.

What you need are some easy to implement tips on how to organise your life, and by reading this article, you're going to learn five of them today!

5 Awesome Tips to Help Organise Your Life

What is the difference between an organised person and a disorganised person? An organised person has a plan of action. They know what their goals are and how they are going to achieve them. Sure, we can understand how this may sound boring to do, but what if it became an enjoyable habit and one which got results?

So to help you on your journey towards having an organised life, here are five actionable tips for you to start taking today:

  1. Write down everything - eveyone forgets things, but some of us forget more than others. By writing down what you have to do and when you have to do it, you eliminate the forgetful memory issue.
  2. Put things back where they belong - how many times have you used something and not returned it to where it lives? Is your desk covered in items not related to your work? It's easy to create a mess and clutter simply by not returning things to where they live. It's also equally as easy to put things away after using them - and this makes you feel more productive too!
  3. Delegate tasks - while outsourcing is an awesome thing for business owners to do, you can also delegate tasks around your home to family members. Having your spouse cook tea in the weekends or requiring the kids to vacuum the lounge once a week are great tasks to delegate - and this gives you extra time to do something else.
  4. Create a password list - how often have you forgotten your password to login online and had to reset it? This takes time and clutters up your inbox. Store your passwords somewhere safe, such as in LastPass or written down and put somewhere secure.
  5. Clean up your inbox - like social media feeds, our email inbox can quickly become full of emails from things you have subscribed to in the past. As you get each email, double check that the information you recieve is still relevant and if not, unsubscribe.
